Drug Tip Hotline The Sandusky Police Department Narcotics Unit Drug Tip Hotline number is 419.627.5980. All information is confidential and no one will be contacted, unless the person requests that we contact them. It is the goal of the department to improve the quality of life in the City of Sandusky by addressing the concerns of our citizens. We urge our citizens to report any illegal drug acivity to us either by phone or email. All tips will be investigated. |

Seat Belt Safety Program Each year members of the Department teach seat belt safety to all of the approximately 425 third grade students in the City. The program which is funded by the Ohio Department of Highway Safety teaches the children the proper way to "buckle up" and the hazards of not using seat belts. At the conclusion of the safety class the students are deputized and take a pledge to always wear their seat belts S.A.V.E.S. (Students Against Vandalism Education in Sandusky) The SAVES program is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Sandusky and is directed at all fourth grade students. Students are thought the repercussions of participating in vandalism and how vandalism can negatively impact everyone. They are encouraged to enter into a poster making contest which displays the anti vandalism message. All students take a pledge against vandalism and are given a certificate for taking the class. The winners of the poster contest are recognized at a Rotary luncheon. |

Click it or Ticket Program [Disclaimer] Each year the Sandusky Police Department joins with thousands of police departments nationwide to participate in the national Click it or Ticket awareness campaigns. We have received statewide recognition for our participation in this event, and have consistently ranked in the top 10% of police departments statewide for our campaign efforts. |
