UPCOMING EVENTS: South Side Plan Community Kick-Off and Sandusky Rec at Mills Open House
The first step in the planning process is to connect with YOU, the residents, and relatives of the South Side community.  To do this, we will be hosting a 2-day community event at the Mills School from May 31st – June 1st to kick off the project and keep you in the know. See event details below.

Tuesday, May 31st, 2022 – Day 1: South Side Plan Community Kick-Off Join us for the South Side Plan Community Kick-off to  hear a presentation about  the project, meet the project team, and give your valuable feedback on the past, present, and future of the South Side. The project is focused on the South Side community, so if you are a former or current resident, property owner, or stakeholder in the South Side, please join us from 5:30-7:30pm at the Mills School as we kick-start this journey together! Refreshments will be provided on a first come first serve basis and all attendees are strongly encouraged to register for the event in advance as seating is limited. This gathering will focus completely on the South Side Plan. Register Online
Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 – Day 2: Sandusky Rec at Mills Open House  Bring your whole family for this Open House event celebrating the new (temporary) home for Sandusky Recreation! Activities will include tours of the new (to us) space and the upcoming location of Safety Town, games and outdoor activities for kids, conversations with city leaders, information tables from community service providers, South Side Plan community engagement activities, information on Sandusky Rec summer programs, and more!  This gathering is a city-wide event that focuses on bringing the community together to celebrate the Mills School as the home for Sandusky Recreation for the next three years. Open House from 3pm – 7pm; Ribbon cutting at 4pm.
