Thrown from a horse cart while enroute to a fire


Fred Rudolph, Lieutenant
January 13, 1914
Killed while fighting a theater fire on Market Street


Cornelius O'Neil, Fire Fighter
October 29, 1914
Kicked in the head by a horse while teaming him up to respond to a fire


Henry Rudolph, Fire Fighter, brother of Fred Rudolph
February 23, 1917
Thrown from horse cart while enroute to a fire


Michael P. Mc Laughlin, Captain
February 8, 1934
Killed in a house fire on Perry Street


William T. Hayes, Fire Fighter
January 25, 1935
Crushed to death at the corner of Perry and East Monroe while riding tailboard when a ladder truck backed into him


Roscoe Klepper, Fire Fighter
September 1, 1966
Died of heart attack after working multiple structure fires on the same day


William O. Bird, Captain
November 24, 1969
He died when a smokestack collapsed during a fire at the Volunteers of America at the corner of Putnam and Adams - currently the location of Amvets Post 17
